My work combines fantasy and reality in a style that contains elements of realism, symbolism and surrealism. In my most recent series of paintings, the interpretation of ancient Norse myths as well as myths associated with astrology and traditional fairy tales were used as a point of departure for my exploration of visual storytelling.

Embracing a spirit of playful irreverence, my idiosyncratic interpretation of these myths reflects my fascination with portraiture as well as my love of satire and the absurd. Traditional painting techniques and pictorial methods are used to create unreal, imaginary places, filled with the whimsical characters I envision.
