Submitting artwork to the gallery.... The
Sarah Bain Gallery is always looking for emerging and mid-career artists seeking
representation. We ask that any artists looking to submit their work first
review the artists currently represented Due to the large volume of artist submissions, strict guidelines exist for gallery review, failure to follow gallery procedure greatly inhibits the review process: Portfolios should contain: * A minimum of five images of recent work accompanied by titles, dimensions, and medium. * Artist biography listing previous/current exhibitions and representation, significant sales (and prices), education, et cetera. Portfolios will only be accepted through the postal system, they cannot be hand-delivered. Portfolios must include a SASE stamped envelope for return. The gallery accepts no responsibility for inadequate postage. We accept high quality photos of artist's work only, actual artwork will not be considered beyond scheduled appointments made specifically by the gallery director. We will not review artwork recorded onto CD-ROM, floppy disk, or otherwise, high quality digital printouts are fine. Additionally, artist's websites and/or online portfolios cannot replace actual submissions, though if you have a site the address may be included in your submission. Review typically requires a 1-month turnaround period, during which the gallery will contact the artist with any questions; submitting artists are strongly discouraged from calling. After review, artists' portfolios will either be returned to them via the postal system or kept for further consideration. In the latter case, artists will be notified by the gallery directly. Portfolios can be sent to: Sarah Bain Gallery 411 W. Broadway, Suite C, Anaheim, CA 92805 home
